Homework and announcements
Homework is generally posted on the day it is assigned. Assignments are due at the next class, unless otherwise stated. If an assignment is given in class but isn't posted here for whatever reason, you're still responsible for it.
HW due Tue. 2/1
Homework:
- Finish the problem set from class, "Areas of regular polygons."
- Do these Chapter 9 review problems: pp. 372-375 exercises 13-20, 27-32, 41-45, 50-54.
Upcoming:
- Computer lab Tuesday (go to room 700).
- Test Thursday (on tessellations, polyhedra, area, and Pythagorean Theorem).
HW due Mon. 1/31
In Chapter 9 Lesson 5 "Pythagorean Theorem," we did exercises 4-14 in class, and the homework is exercises 15-53.
HW due Fri. 1/28
On pp. 358-364, read Chapter 9 Lesson 4 on areas of parallelograms and trapezoids, and do Exercise Sets I and II.
HW due Tue. 1/25
On pp. 351-357, read Chapter 9 Lesson 3 on areas of triangles, and do exercises 1-28, 35-59, and Set III.
Class Thu. 1/20 and HW due Mon. 1/24
In class: We worked on these exercises from Chapter 9 Lesson 2 "Squares and Rectangles": pp. 345-350 exercises 1-27, 36-56, and Set III.
Homework:
- Finish the pp. 345-350 exercises if not yet done.
- The tessellations/polyhedra project which is now due on Mon. 1/24.

In class: We worked on these exercises from Chapter 9 Lesson 1 "Area": pp. 341-342 exercises 25-55.
